Red-hued salt is piled high in the solid de-icer material barn at the Public Works Operations Center.

Thank you for making this pilot program a success! Over four days in February 2025, more than 160 residents collected salt from the Public Works Operations Center to tackle ice buildup around their homes this winter.

About the Program

Parker residents may claim up to a 5-gallon container’s worth of free salt for use this winter through the new Bucket O’ Salt program. Being offered by the Engineering and Public Works Department, this program aims to promote clear and safe sidewalks around the community and provide homeowners with a resource to combat ice in their driveways.

Participants must provide their own bucket and only one reservation per residence will be accepted. RSVP below for pick-up sessions at the Public Works Operations Center, 9045 Tammy Lane. Limited reservations will be available for each date and Public Works staff will provide assistance during distribution events.

This program is only available to residents within the Town of Parker boundary.
