Public art enriches our civic spaces, creates vibrant gathering spaces, and provides free, unique cultural experiences for everyone in the community.
Discovery Park, for example, is visually anchored by the iconic, playful “Jacks,” just as “The Nucleus” welcomes patrons to the PACE Center. Throughout the Town of Parker, both permanent and temporary forms of art foster a sense of place, enhance well-being, honor our heritage, and play a key role in making cities and towns more desirable places to live and visit.
Over the past year, the Cultural Department has been diligently developing Parker’s first-ever comprehensive Public Art Master Plan, a process which involved collaboration and input from public art experts, Town Departments, and community members to understand their vision for public art in Parker. The result is a dynamic plan that outlines a clear long-term vision and specific strategies for integrating public art throughout the Town.
