Contest Overview
This year, the Town of Parker’s popular Name A Snowplow contest is headed to class.
For the first time, Parker’s Engineering and Public Works Department is inviting Parker students to name lead plow trucks for the Town’s five snowplowing zones for the 2026/2027 winter season.
Each third-grade class at participating Parker elementary schools may submit one name entry. Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 23, for consideration.
Once all names are collected, the Parker community will be able to vote for their favorites on this page from April 28 to May 12. The five names with the most votes will win.
Winning classrooms will receive a meet and greet with a Parker snowplow and a small prize. Selected names will be unveiled to the public at the Parker Proud Showcase on Sept. 12 at O’Brien Park.
A Let's Talk Parker registration is required to participate in the final community vote.

Contest Rules:
Each classroom may enter 1 name
Submitted names must be under 20 characters and three words or fewer
If a name is submitted multiple times, the entry received first will be considered
Previous winning names, Clearopathra, Han Snowlo, CTRL-SALT-DELETE, Snowtorious B.I.G., Plowabunga!, Ice Slice Baby, Scoop Dogg, and The Frost Responder are retired and not eligible for resubmission
