More fun and more puns — the Name A Snowplow Contest is back for a second year! The community is invited to submit ideas to name lead plow trucks for the Town’s four snowplowing zones for the 2025/2026 winter season. The contest is open to participants of all ages.
Name entries will be accepted on this page from July 7 until 5 p.m. July 18. A Let’s Talk Parker platform registration is required to submit names and vote for finalists. Participants may enter up to four names. Last year’s winning names, Clearopathra, Han Snowlo, CTRL-SALT-DELETE, and Snowtorious B.I.G., are retired and not eligible for resubmission.
Finalists will be chosen by Engineering and Public Works staff. A final round of public voting will take place from July 28 until 5 p.m. Aug. 8. The four names with the most votes will win. Selected names will be unveiled at the Parker Proud Showcase in September.
Contest Rules:
Participants may enter up to four names
Submitted names must be under 20 characters and three words or fewer
Names cannot include profanity or inappropriate language
Names cannot be an individual’s name
If a name is submitted multiple times, the entry received first will be considered
Last year's winning names, Clearopathra, Han Snowlo, CTRL-SALT-DELETE, and Snowtorious B.I.G., are retired and not eligible for resubmission
