This summer, the community was invited to participate in the Town's inaugural Name A Snowplow Contest. The winners, chosen by a community vote, were Clearopathra, Han Snowlo, CTRL-SALT-DELETE, and Snowtorious B.I.G.

Participants submitted 285 names during the first phase of the contest, which were narrowed to 26 finalists by Engineering and Public Works Department staff.

Finalists were: Han Snowlo, Sir Plows A Lot, The Snowday Slayer, Clearopathra, Darth Blader, Snowtorious B.I.G., CTRL-SALT-DELETE, Plowabunga, Plow Mater, Flurrious George, Frostasaurus, Arctic Avenger, Blizzard Wizard, Melton John, Sled Zepplin, Plowzilla, Blizzard Buster, Snow Force One, Plownado, Taylor Drift, Polar Blades, Polar Express, Scoopy Doo, Lil Deuce Scoop, Frosty Cruiser, Blizzard of Oz.

The winning names will serve as lead plow trucks for each of the Town’s four snowplowing zones for the 2024/2025 winter season.
