Parker is seeking community input on the development of a Complete Streets policy that will formalize our commitment to design, construct and manage our streets to be ‘Complete Streets’ - to provide safe, comfortable and convenient access for all modes of travel including pedestrian, bicyclists, transit riders, motorists and other users. Whether you drive, walk, bicycle, carpool or utilize transit in Parker, we’d like to hear from you! Please take a short survey to let us know your thoughts on Complete Streets in Parker and/or use our map to show us your favorite streets and/or areas of concern.

The Town continually strives to accommodate all modes of travel and users, including children, people with disabilities and older adults. Parker’s current roadway designs already take into consideration many elements of Complete Streets such as sidewalks and bike lanes. Complete Streets make it easy to cross the street and walk or bike to school, shops or work within the Town.

While our roadways serve many purposes – some serve many roles while others serve only a few. The purpose of Complete Streets is to consider these context-based roles and design accordingly.

"Complete Streets are streets for everyone. They are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities."

In order to help us understand how to build better streets for all users, show us your areas of concern on Parker streets that make you feel unsafe or uncomfortable and that you think need improvements to accommodate all users. (e.g. crosswalk facilities [width, enough time to cross, flashers, stop bars further back for comfortability], better sidewalk or road connectivity, better or more transit facilities, etc.)
